Meet 4 members of our team who have been working toward better healthcare for over 40 years


Susan S. – Senior Sales Representative | Maryland, United States | 43 years with Stryker

Susan’s path to Stryker started 43 years ago, fresh out of college she was hired into a sales position with Sage Medical (acquired by Stryker in 2016). After the acquisition, Stryker’s culture kept Susan on our team.

Today, Susan is a Senior Sales Representative for Stryker’s Medical Sage business.

When asked what she loved most about Stryker she explained, “The people hands down! Stryker’s core values of people, performance, integrity and acountability align with what I am driven by.” Susan is passionate about helping hospitals make great decisions and supporting healthcare workers’ needs.


Paul W. | Field Services Training Specialist | Texas, United States | 40 years with Stryker

For the last 40 years, the variety of work, opportunity to travel, and great teammates have kept Paul happily employed with Stryker.

Paul is currently a Field Service Training Specialist with Stryker’s Medical Physio-Control division. Stryker’s growth reputation led Paul to apply at Stryker. In Paul’s words, “Bringing a smile to our customers, and making sure they are confident that they chose the right product and company” are what keep him happiest in his job.


Manfred S. | Principal Prototype Technician | Baden-Württemberg, Germany | 42 years with Stryker

24 years ago a series of mergers and acquisitions led Manfred to the Stryker family. He then decided to stay with Stryker because he enjoyed both the culture and role.

As a Principal Prototype Technician, Manfred either works with a team for ideas or relies on his own creativity to fabricate new products currently required or products to potentially fill future needs. We asked what he liked best about working at Stryker and he said, “ That I can work independently here in the prototype store every day, contribute my ideas, work alongside a great team of colleagues, and I appreciate that Stryker is a very good employer.”


Karl G. | Associate Manager, R&D Engineering | Baden-Württemberg, Germany | 42 years with Stryker

In 1978, Karl started on a path that would lead him to his over 42-year career with Stryker. Beginning with vocational school, transferring through various departments, and ending up where he is today as a manager in engineering research and development. Karl’s career has been wide-ranging!


In Karl’s words, what he like’s best about working at Stryker is “Independent planning, organization and coordination of project assignments as well as internally and externally. Product development in close cooperation with the project managers in the different divisions, the physicians and external companies.”
