The ninth annual Stryker Engineering Challenge
For the past nine years, Stryker has been hosting an engineering challenge for current college students. During this fast-paced, friendly competition, teams have 24 hours to plan, design, prototype, test and complete the build of a robot to compete in various challenges created by our engineers.
This year, 28 students representing Western Michigan University, Purdue University, University of Notre Dame, University of Michigan, Michigan Technological University, Michigan State University and Michigan College Alliances competed against one another in the annual Stryker Engineering Challenge. During the challenge, students worked with a team of Stryker engineers and got a look into our company culture while in pursuit of the first-place prize of $1,000 scholarships and guaranteed internship interviews.
This year, the Michigan College Alliances team, which was comprised of students from Andrews University, Calvin College, and University of Detroit Mercy, took first place with 204 points and Michigan Technological University was a close second place with 203 points!
