Get to know Stryker’s Digital, Robotics, and Enabling Technologies (DRE) organization

Updated: Mar 15

Digital innovation is not new at Stryker. In fact, for decades we've been on a journey to improve outcomes through digital technology. To help us get to the next level, leaders from across the company have been working together on building our new Digital, Robotics, and Enabling Technologies organization (or DRE, for short).

Making healthcare better

DRE was formed to build, maintain, and elevate the enterprise-wide capability in digital, robotics, and enabling technologies that supports divisional strategies and creates value greater than the sum of the individual parts.

"DRE was created to satisfy our mission to make healthcare better," says Robert Cohen, President, Digital, Robotics, and Enabling Technologies. "We can see where the future is heading. The shift and focus on technology is happening at a faster pace than ever before. The digital world is accelerating, and this will have an appreciable impact on all our market segments. Our competition is responding, our customers expect us to respond — and we will. This is about performance, and this is what DRE is all about."

DRE will help Stryker:

  • Further refine our global enterprise digital strategy

  • Drive innovation across the enterprise by evolving, combining, and adding new platforms

  • Maximize technologies through enterprise-wide best practice sharing and collaboration

  • Leverage our best-in-class expertise, across the enterprise, to accelerate category leadership and outpace the competition

  • Develop our talent, strengthening our enterprise-wide technical competencies
