Here are 6 reasons to love Stryker in Colorado:

1. Let’s talk SMAC

SMAC, short for the Sports Medicine Activities Committee, is divided into four dynamic sub-committees: Health and Wellness, Social, Community Involvement, and Employee Recognition. These teams are dedicated to enriching our office culture through a diverse lineup of events catered to various interests - from volunteering with local nonprofits, organizing our annual holiday gift drive, hosting welcoming events for new hires, to the publication of our Mile High Bulletin monthly newsletters. Not to mention, we also have golf scrambles, sip n' paints, the thrilling Stryker Olympics, chili cook-offs, and plenty more. In essence, Colorado always has something exciting happening, ensuring there's a way for everyone to connect and engage!

2. We empower women and girls

Denver’s chapter of the Stryker Women’s Network (SWN) has fostered a nurturing community within the Denver office, dedicated to promoting a sense of belonging, advocacy and diverse representation. Our lineup of events showcases this commitment, featuring the #iamRemarkable workshop, Allyship summit, quarterly gatherings for members, speaker panels, Lean-In circles, volunteer workshops with Girls Inc. of Metro Denver focused on STEM, the SWN mentorship program and more.

3. We value and champion our diverse communities

The Stryker African Ancestry Network ( SAAN) community in Denver has been at the forefront of organizing impactful events, including the Academic Bowl, where we welcomed a local, underprivileged 5th grade elementary school class for a day filled with fun activities and an engineering challenge. We've also held Industry Days, creating opportunities for networking by partnering with local colleges and inviting students into our office. To underscore Stryker’s commitment to inclusion and diversity, our office has been a hub for meaningful discussions during Black History Month, and we've actively supported local,Black-owned businesses among other initiatives.

4. We’re a SAFE space

The local chapter of Stryker Allies for Everyone (SAFE) has brought to life a variety of events, including the Pride 5k run, media club gatherings, events for general members and much more, all designed to foster inclusivity and safety within our community.

5. We’ve got some pretty cool tools

Our Denver office is equipped with an exceptional machine shop, meticulously designed for in-house rapid prototyping and seamless collaboration with our Research and Design engineers. It's home to several top-tier machines and staffed by four skilled machinists, boasting a combined experience of over 100 years. Additionally, the office features a cadaver lab that serves as a versatile space for various events, including medical education, design validation labs, surgeon specialty programs, talks, visits and R&D experimental work.

6. Come for the career opportunities, stay for the outdoor activities

Many of our employees fully embrace the spoils of outdoor activities that Colorado has to offer like skiing, snowboarding, mountain biking, fishing, rock climbing, etc. The work/life balance at Stryker allows employees to take advantage of the outdoors while also engaging in a highly meaningful and productive office environment. And have you seen the view from the office?

Take me out to the ballgame:

Every year the local team wears their favorite Colorado Rockies gear and heads to Coors Field to enjoy a game.
